Roger Brinkley

Roger Brinkley is the Community Leader for the Mobile & Embedded Community at Sun Microsystems. He is responsible for community development related to Java ME technologies. He is part of the Java Community team in the Client Software Group, a member of Sun's Open Source Group, the Java.Net Management Board, and serves as a Track Lead for the JavaOne Program Committee.

Roger has more than 30 years of industry experience with over 14 years at Sun. He is a frequent speaker at technical conferences around the world and cohosts the weekly Java Mobility Podcast with Terrence Barr.

Prior to becoming the Mobile & Embedded Community Leader he was the Principle Engineer for JSR 97 JavaHelp 2.0 Specification and was the community leader for both the JDK and JavaDesktop communities. He has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Quantitative Analysis and a Masters Degree in Business Administration

Terrence Barr

Terrence Barr is a Senior Technologist at Sun Microsystems and Ambassador of the Java Mobile & Embedded Community. He has 15+ years of industry experience with more than 10 of those years at Sun. He has been working on various technical aspects of embedded systems and Java ME for a number of years including implementation and optimization of virtual machines, byte code hardware acceleration, and multiprocessor platforms.

Terrence also participates or has participated in organizations such as JCP, OMA, EEMBC, and VITA, is author and co-author of a number of U.S. and European patents, and speaks frequently at various conferences around the world including JavaOne.

Terrence is also the project owner of the ME Application Developers project
